Simply Unfashionable, The Prom Night of Sunway College Ipoh 2009

First of all, allow me to express my ... no. Stop. I would only like to say thank you to those who made Simply Unfashionable, a success. The advisers, the project manager, the managers, the committees, the sponsors and not forgetting, those who came and supported the prom.

Most importantly, a big thank you to Michelle who suggested the name and those who supported the idea of using my blogs' name, Simply Unfashionable, and adapted it as the name for the colleges' first ever Prom Night. It is truly an honor to have Simply Unfashionable as the theme for this grand night.

2009, I'm the VIP

The prom started at around 7.15pm, for the guests. But the committees were there earlier, to set everything up, and also the performers, to get the first hand heat on stage.

All from tuning the sound system, back drop decorations, preparing the projectors, final rehearsal are done and to do all that in such a short period, all we need is a good project team with good team work. Thankfully, that's what we have.

Time flies when you're enjoying yourself, so true. The dudes in the live band should have no problem with the statement. They were the last to rehearse, and I'm sure they're totally cool with it. Right guys?

dude, time machine please!

Or maybe, not?

It's around 7.15pm and the show starts off with the grand entrance of the prom kings and queens, the committees and also the VIPs, and I'm one of them. Do you know who I am? . It's good to walk in the ballroom receiving applauds and have your name shouted out by the Master of Ceremony. It's bad to miss out the chance to snap the pictures. So, what I'm trying to say is, I don't have the pictures of the grand entrance. I should be getting them next week, I might post it up next week if I'm in the mood. Back to the prom. Speeches, performances, presentations, songs, lucky draws, and also food! Everything you need to survive a prom night is pretty much prepared by the project team.

That kinda sums up the prom. We basically packed up a 'place' after the prom. Where? I'll see if I get any pictures, I'll post it up together with the entrance picture some other time. Till then, thanks for reading and I hope the college prom will be made an annual event. It's a truly priceless experience and it is an honor to be given a chance to organize and participate in it. Hope you guys enjoyed the prom as much as I did!
