Yes, I'm gonna participate in Happy Moments by Happy and honestly I don't really expect to win anything.Shall I go straight to the point? I will try to make this post as not, I repeat, as NOT lame as possible. This post will be about, My Happy Moments as the post title suggest. Sounded a little too sentimental? Wait a minute, I did say moments, and not moment? I'm gonna highlight not one, but TWO moments. Two moments in my life that I made me happy. Or maybe three. Two is more than enough, really.

Once upon a time in a sick little city of Ipoh, zzZzZZZZzz . . . bla bla bla . . .

In the year 2006, he again represented his beloved state of Perak in the squash event during the Malaysian Games or SUKMA. It was his third attempt as the previous two SUKMAs in the year 2002 in Sabah and in the year 2004 in Negeri Sembilan, he brought nothing but only souvenirs back to Perak.

Kedah Darul Aman, or the "Rice Bowl of Malaysia" is the host the Malaysia's very own Olympic in the year 2006. The boy from Perak made a vow t
his time, he's gonna bring back something more than just key chains and funny hats.

It was a long hard road for the boys, and in the process . . .

. . . he overcame obstacles

. . . he made new friends

. . . and finally a chance to play Penang in the finals and he . . .

. . . was triumphant and won the gold medal!

As a result of the gold medal, the Perak Boys made history for them self. I'm gonna list it down, so hold your laughter because there's only three of them.

  • they became the first boys team to win a gold medal for Perak in the squash event.
  • they brought home medals and mascots instead of lame and poorly crafted souvenirs.
  • the total amount of souvenirs bought by the whole Perak team this year (2006) is no more than the total amount bought by a single athlete in the year (2004)
The state sporting body awarded each of the four athlete RM 1,500 and HE ended up spending all of it on this

And yes, he was happy and that was his happy moment back then in the year 2006.

It's the year 2008, he's now equipped with a new vision and mission as well as renewed confidence in life! There's this thing about 2008 that made him really happy! Uh-huh, 2008 is not made for him alone! It's a year made for all Malaysian! What was it that put the smile on the nations' face? The question is . . .

It had to be you, it had to be you;
I wandered around, and finally found, the somebody who

Could make me be true, could make me be blue,
And even be glad, just to be sad, thinking of you.

Some others I've seen, might never be mean;
Might never be cross, or try to be boss,
But they wouldn't do.

For nobody else, gave me a thrill
with all your faults, I love you still!

It had to be you, wonderful you;
It had to be HAPPY!

Yes, that's the reason behind the smiles of hundreds, thousands and millions of Malaysian this year. That's the secret of being happy, really happy! Thank you Happy for making him happy! Thank you for giving him . . .

Well, that very much sums up his happy moment in the year 2008.

Happy really made him happy!
